Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (TUOMS)

Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (TUOMS) is a prestigious medical university in Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Province, Iran, affiliated with the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education. Established in 1946, it is the second-oldest medical school in the country. Along with academic activities, TUOMS has always been active in research, health, and treatment. The university offers professional degrees in Medicine (M.D.), Dentistry (D.D.S.), and Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), as well as Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in various medically related fields. It also offers technical courses leading to associate degrees and certifications in medical disciplines.

TUOMS operates over ten teaching hospitals and is a leading healthcare provider in East Azarbaijan Province and surrounding areas. With around 5000 students, it is regarded as one of Iran’s top medical schools.
