Qazvin University of Medical sciences
Qazvin University of Medical Sciences (QUMS) is situated in Qazvin Province, Iran. In 1984, the foundation stone of Qazvin School of Medicine was laid, and it started its academic journey by admitting medical students through the University Entrance Examination. In 1991, the School was promoted to Qazvin University of Medical Sciences and Health Services. QUMS offers degrees in 5 schools, including residencies and fellowships, and manages major hospitals and clinics throughout the city and province of Qazvin.
Since its inception with 75 medical students, QUMS has grown significantly and currently has over 230 faculty members and approximately 3000 students enrolled in 34 health-related fields, such as Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health, Nursing, Midwifery, and Healthcare Management. Additionally, QUMS provides graduate programs in Basic Medical Sciences, Nursing, and Public Health. It also offers extensive residency programs in Clinical Medicine and Dentistry. Moreover, the University operates a comprehensive service program focused on disease prevention and treatment.
