Kermanshah University Of Medical Sciences

Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences began its journey in 1968 as the Nursing High School and later evolved into the Medical College in 1975. In 1985, it was upgraded to a Medical University after the Islamic Revolution. The University has a faculty of 521 academic staff and 5500 students enrolled at all levels of medical fields across its faculties, where they undergo practical training and placement in teaching hospitals to prepare them for future job market demands.

 

The University takes charge of coordinating and regulating medical education, training, and research in healthcare professions throughout Kermanshah Province. In addition to teaching and treatment, the University focuses on research and innovations to improve allied health sciences. Its primary research programs revolve around Basic Medical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, and Nursing. Furthermore, the University is at the forefront of promoting public health through scientific strategies and measures. With eight Vice-Chancellors, eight faculties, and seventeen hospitals, including eight in Kermanshah city, the University strives to serve the latest scientific and technological advancements in the country.
