Ahvaz Jondishapur University of Medical Sciences
Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences (AJUMS) is a highly reputable institution in Iran that has a rich history dating back 1700 years to the Sassanid period. It was named after the city of Jundishapur in northwestern Khuzestan Province. AJUMS is currently one of the top universities in the country with seven schools, 662 faculty members, and 7529 students enrolled in 161 fields of study, offering different degrees such as BSc, MSc, Ph.D., specialized residency, and fellowship.
AJUMS is responsible for overseeing 54 modern hospitals, both public and private, with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. This has contributed to the significant success achieved in health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment of many dangerous diseases. In addition, AJUMS oversees 16 health and treatment networks and 19 county health centers. To encourage research activities, academic members have published 117 books, 11642 papers, and 5808 research projects.
